The D540 utilizes a solid state heated sensor designed for high sensitivity to all combustible gases. The instrument is MSHA Certified as Intrinsically Safe.

It inspects furnaces, gas appliances and gas lines fast and safely. It is also used to find leaks in fuel and exhaust systems and to verify integrity of fuel storage containers. The D540 uses standard AA alkaline batteries and does not require rechargeable batteries.

The unique digital display allows for quick, precise pinpointing of the leak source and also determines the size of the leak.
